Worthy

For too long, I believed that love and kindness were things I had to earn, things that came only if I proved myself enough. But now I see that they are not rewards—they are birthrights. I am worthy of love simply because I exist, because I have a heart that beats and a spirit that cares. I am worthy of kindness, not because of what I achieve or how perfectly I perform, but because I am human, with all my flaws and all my beauty.

I am worthy of love on my hardest days, when I struggle to find my way. I am worthy of kindness when I stumble, when I make mistakes, when I am not at my best. Love and kindness are not things I need to chase or beg for—they are things that belong to me, things I deserve to receive without condition.

Today, I choose to believe that I am deserving of gentle words and open arms. I choose to believe that I am worth the effort it takes to be loved well. And I choose to treat myself with the same love and kindness I so freely give to others. I am worthy of all the goodness life has to offer, simply because I am here.
